My name is Paulo Ramalho Silva, I was born in the extreme south of Brazil, land of the Brazilian gauchos and the Pampas. My first contact with photography was when I was still studying Advertising and Propaganda in Brazil in 1998. The hips of initiation to photography struck me and suddenly I was immersed in this fascinating world.
The black and white development and the darkroom made me see that I really needed photography to express myself. After learning the rudiments of composition, lighting and black and white development, I bought my first SLR, an Olympus OM-1 with 3 Zuiko lenses (28mm, 50mm and 135mm), then going to Canon and finally as a Nikonista.
In commercial photography I worked with 35mm slides, photographs of musical artists for CD screens and magazines, editorials, advertising, as well as photographic coverage of events and weddings.
I currently live in Seville, southern Spain, and do everything from advertising to reporting on events in Spain and other countries in Europe and America.
